Tour Itinerary

Pick up from either hotel or from the airport and be ready for a 6 hours drive to Kibaale forest national park – the journey that will take approximately six hours. On arrival, late dinner will be served at the lodge, with its scenic view of the forest, of Kibale national park.

Early morning, you will enter Kibale forest with the specialized ranger and your guide in search of Kibale’s special- the Green-breasted Pitta and chimp tracking. On a lucky day, you can see the pitta displayed.

Chimp tracking is an adventurous activity that is also part of this day. Chimpanzees are the closest relatives to man with 98.7 %DNA. When chimps are located, you are allowed to spend a maximum of one hour within their vicinity and then after, exit the forest.

In the afternoon, you will go for Bigodi swamp walk which is an amazing excursion. The expected birds of this activity include, Green Crombec, Little Greenbul, Tooro olive greenbul, Grey capped warbler, Western black headed oriole, White spotted fluff tail, Afep pigeon, White napped pigeon, Olive pigeon,Cassin’s grey flycatcher.

Also, apart from the chimpanzees, other primates that can be seen during the Bigodi swamp walk include, Red colobus, Black and white colobus, Uganda Mangabey, olive baboon, Blue monkey, Vervet monkeys among others.

Early breakfast prior to departing for Bwindi via Queen Elizabeth national park and watch out for the eye-catching big game on the way like elephants, buffalos, antelopes, warthogs, and other wildlife. In the afternoon, relax while having lunch in Kihihi town or take a walk to the bustling market of Kihihi. Continue to Bwindi for the ultimate gorilla experience.

Gorilla Trekking in Uganda, meet one of the world’s oldest peoples in a living history encounter with the famous Batwa tribe. After a short briefing by the guides, you will proceed through the dense bush to trek for the opportunity to see these endangered animals in their natural habitat. Enjoy the gorillas as they feed their young or play. The afternoon is at your leisure.

Depart after breakfast for Kampala in time for your flight. End of safari
